Cruel Intentions (1999) follows
I have now finished watching all 8 episodes of the Cruel Intentions TV Series and it was brutal to watch. Positives for Cruel Intentions (2024-): Sarah Catherine Hook does a decent job with her performance as Caroline Merteuil in this show. She gets more work in other movies and shows.
That’s the positives
The show is well-shot and it’s beautiful. The storylines in this show could have been really interesting but ultimately failed in their execution. I didn’t care for any of the other characters in this show and I’ve already forgotten most of them.
The 1999 movie with new ideas and it failed miserably
I understand why they couldn’t do the things they did in the original 1999 movie, but what we have in this series is not good at all. Finally, the final story ends with none of the plots being resolved at all, or I think that’s what happened, you know who cares. Overall, Cruel Intentions (2024-) is a boring attempt to update the story.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this series gets canceled soon, and I wouldn’t be sad because this series is a waste of time
