📽 "Freed" Superbly directed by Tudor Giurgiu and masterfully written by Cecilia Stefanescu and Nap Toader, this historical drama is inspired by the great mystery behind the events of the Dark Days in Great Sibiu in December 1989, where the fall of the communist regime leads to bloodshed.
This film really successfully transposes the audience into the time-space line, but what is even more important into the consciousness of the protagonists, it questions more than ever the value of moral ethics and the ability to keep clean in a dystopia full of corruption
power to give a blurred overall picture that is able to connect the narratives of different, dubious points of view, and thus the audience crucial moments when even the truth of the protagonists is questioned… even in captivity in a world dominated by fear and lies.
A film that leaves its mark on the audience for a long time is truly a cinematic masterpiece, it gives us the opportunity to reflect and thereby better understand the past and implicitly the future!
A psychological study of the fragmented mindset forced by the failed ideologies of a flawed system, but also a fascinating story that aims to leave the audience with questions and personal analysis, the very recent events put us as viewers in a position to question our own inner revolution.
