Damn, I wanted to like this
Tale
Media professional Muncie Daniels has to fight for his innocence and his life after a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first leading role on television. I’ve enjoyed Colman’s other work, but it’s a waste of time.
He’s not that much of a lead
Really questionable and predictable plot choices and, sorry, not great acting overall. And poor Colman just gets it wrong here. It reminded me of Tyler Perry trying to play Alex Cross.
It’s just unbelievable
As the series dragged on and the scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering to each other (why DON’T they show us those?), it was really hard to stay awake. Watching Colman run was painful. I always find it funny when non-athletic actors get the chance to play action roles.
Let’s move on to the next one
(He wasn’t very good at action in Fear the Walking Dead and he’s not here either.) This always stands out to me and reminds me of a vanity project. His mouth hangs open in every scene when he’s “thinking” (which I think shows he’s uncomfortable and cares about playing it “fair”). Not everyone gets the chance to be an action star.
